Lingenio is a leading manufacturer in the area of language technology. Our main products are the Translate translation program and the innovative electronic office dictionary. Both products have been published in cooperation with digital publishing AG, Munich. Lingenio has been cooperating with digital publishing, a leader in language learning software, since May 2004. The companies intend to publish more products together in the future which will make use of the combination of language learning and translation technologies. Lingenio was founded in 1999 by a group of developers from IBM's former Science Center Heidelberg who starting in 1989 had developed the translation program Personal Translator till it became ready for the market in 1995. Lingenio continued the development of the program till spring 2004 when it separated from its former marketing partner and started the new cooperation with digital publishing. Lingenio utilizes its long-standing experience not only for innovative products but also carries out service projects in the area of language technology. |
