Creating user dictionaries
In Translate plus and Translate pro you can create and manage your own dictionaries. Thus you can adapt the programs to your needs and significantly increase translation quality. It makes sense to look for unknown words before translating, to define them in your user dictionary and only then carry out the translation.
To add a new word you enter it in the search field of the dictionary window and klick on the New button (which you can on the lower left corner if you click on the image to enlarge it).
The next step is to enter the desired translation and the part of speech.
Often this information is sufficient to generate entry suitable for automatic translation. If necessary you can change the inflection information. You can make the translation dependent on a subject area. Translate pro offers the possibility of extended coding which allows more detailed specification of syntactic and semantic properties.
You can also create new subject areas and insert them into the hierarchy.
